About YAGRO
Partnering with their first farmer in Cambridgeshire in 2016, YAGRO was born from a collective curiosity about problems the farming community faced, and a desire to solve them through accessible, advanced and intuitive data analytics. Understanding that efficiency within farm management is key to productivity and sustainability YAGRO was co-founded by Gareth Davies, a former Syngenta Innovations Manager, Norfolk farmer Dan Jolly and IT expert Richard Sears. With a vision to becoming the strategic Partner of choice for any data analysis or collaboration across the food and farming chain, and having grown to c52 employees, YAGRO is well on the way to making this happen.
As a team of farmers, entrepreneurs and technologists with a deep-rooted passion for making professional farmers lives easier and their businesses better, YAGRO has a fiercely innovative, bold thinking, creative and customer led culture. Putting the farmer first was the original principle when the company was founded, and it remains their core principle today.
With the backing of Frontier, YAGRO are poised to scale their team and current rate of innovation to offer more powerful and intuitive analytical tools into the hands of farming businesses. They have remained a standalone independent business, with their own offices, culture and specialisms but are supported by the reach and resources of a larger Group. Mark Aitchison, Group Managing Director and Diana Overton, Deputy Group Managing Director of Frontier sit on the YAGRO board from an advisory perspective, working with Gareth and his leadership team on the strategic planning of the business and how YAGRO and Frontier can leverage synergies to create mutually beneficial commercial growth opportunities.
